We stayed at Hostel Manuela for 4 nights and although there were only 2 or 3 other people staying there we had issues with lack of hot water and had to have a couple of cold showers. Also, the communal areas were very small and cramped and there was not enough room for everyone to sit to eat breakfast. Also, there was free internet in this area but the owners were there using it more often than not.

These issues didn't bother us too much as it was a budget choice and Split as a place was incredible. However, on leaving we accidentaly left our mobile phone in the room and contacted the owner, manuela, who was very helpful and said she would post this back to us - of course we offered to refund the cost and waited for the phone to arrive. 6 weeks and several ignored emails later we realised we were not going to get the phone back and cancelled the SIM card only to find that she had used 50 dollars of credit!!
