In July 2009, My husband and I traveled to Eastern Europe for a three week honeymoon. We learned about Sobe Base from the Rick Steve's Traveling Guide. What a great find!

The location was located inside of the city walls, and was an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, and boat and car rental terminals.

Sobe Base has three rooms. We stayed on the top floor. The rooms were tastefully decorated, and contained a refrigerator, computer, air conditioning, and a spa jet shower.

The owner was very helpful and accommodating.

The only downfall was we could hear outside noise from the weekend crowds. However, the air conditioning blocked out most of the noise, and even though we are both light sleepers, we had no trouble sleeping.

When making reservations, be prepared to send a personal check to reserve the room. When we arrived, the first thing the owner did was return my check to me.
