As first-timers to Dubrovnik, we looked at all the accommodation before deciding that a centrally-located apartment would be our best bet. Two-bedroom Darija House looked charming, tucked in next to the city walls, and as it fitted within our budget, so we booked it. Communication with Yvonne was friendly and helpful, and the same applied to the maid who greeted me upon arrival.
No complaints here! The house is spotless with everything you need for a short stay. More like a cosy cottage, the beds are comfortable, furniture and appliances are modern and everything is very tasteful and new. The central location is great and near lots of little bars and restaurants, and only a couple of minutes from both the centre of the old town and the sea. It's quiet too.
Any downsides? Well, some may find the lack of air-conditioning a problem in the summer months, although fans are provided. Due to the age of the property, there isn't a lot of natural light in the daytime due to...
