I meant to write a review of Tatjana's House as soon as I got back from Dubrovnik, but time got the better of me. Still, better late than never.

The first indication you get that this is a special place is the ice-cold beer you get offered (gratis) on your arrival. Then there's the view from the balcony, the spacious and comfortable rooms. Tatjana was a perfect hostess, providing me with directions, impromptu coffees and sorting out a little electrical problem (entirely of my own making) quickly and without fuss.

Dubrovnik Old Town is a bit of a walk away, but it's such a lovely tumble down side streets that you don't mind, and there's a good cheap bus service which drops you outside if you don't fancy the hike back up. Talking of hills, the view and the atmosphere from the top of Mount Srdj (the path starts 10 minutes walk from Tatjana's) is something I can't put into words. more
