When one comes to Dubrovnik one wants to stay, if at all possible, within the walls of the old city. The Apartments Martecchini is the best location, within a few yards of the main square with Saint Blaise Church and the Orlando Statue. Keep in mind that there is no elevator here and that you need to carry your luggage... More

If you truly want to experience the walled city of Dubrovnik then Apartment Martecchini should be your choice for lodging. My two girlfriends and I (friends of 40 yrs) stayed two weeks and were truly happy with our accommodation. We each had plenty of room, and the facilities and amenities met all our needs. Our flat looked out on the... More

We loved our 2 night stay at Apartments Martecchini. The location is perfect for sightseeing in Dubrovnik. The apartment was spacious and there was a kitchen, which we used to cook some meals to save money (food in Dubrovnik is expensive). Pero was so kind, he spent a lot of time orienting us to the old town, and he also... More

I loved the location. I loved the welcome we received and the helpfulness of Pero. I even liked the bells, the noise, the excitement. It was so much fun feeling a part of all that goes on in Dubrovnik. Everything is close and accessible. The apartment was convenient and comfortable so your time could be spent exploring rather then getting... More

3 adults in a family shared this great apt in early Oct. We really loved the location. Davorka was great in responding to our questions. She stayed in contact with us thru our stay to help us via email. Her son picked us up at the airport and we were met by Pero her husband at the city gate to... More

Positives: Very beautiful, spacious, clean, well-maintained apartment in a very central location with fantastic views onto the main square. Literally, you are at the center of what's happening! Friendly, thoughtful staff, who were well organized and prompt and responsive to questions/requests. Well stocked kitchen and good bathroom as well. All looks to have been recently renovated. Not-so-positive: The central location... More

All has been said about the location, the view and the superb value for money. Open the window, and (apart from some tourists-passing-by-noise) the classical music comes into your room by the ensembles who play under the arches of the palace next door. Peter is a friendly host and had a good tip to avoid the extreme parking fees of... More

This is a beautiful apartment right on the stradun (pedestrian only area in Old Town Dubrovnik). The windows open right up to the stradun and when closed it is perfectly quiet. The rooms are huge with a generous size bathroom. My room could easily sleep 6 people. Although we didn’t need this, the adjacent room can be opened to connect... More

Fantastic location, we stayed one night, then travelled to Montenegro for the England game and then back again for another night. We had two different apartments, the first was slightly bigger than the second but both perfect for our requirements. Peter, the owner, came to meet us promptly both times and we had everything we could need. Agree about the... More

The location is wonderful, Peter the owner - charming and when you think about it, accommodation right in the centre of Old Town for 126 Euro is okay, but remember you only get a bed and bathroom for that. There are cooking facilities but if you are staying only a few nights, they do not get used. The building is... More
