This family-run accommodation could not be better located -- right outside the less-touristy but impressive gate -- or with a better view overlooking Dubrovnik. Two of the three rented rooms open onto an enormous terrace (with tables and sun umbrellas) that looks, without obstruction, right over the medieval city -- a better view or location could not be had. The... more

Having just spent 9 nights in Croatia (3 nights in Split and 6 here at the Villa Adriatica), in our opinion the terrace here is the best spot to spend your time! We enjoyed everything during our trip- the islands, beaches, old towns, etc. BUT our time on the terrace is what we'll remember most! Tips to future guests- The... more

As everyone says it's the location and that wonderful verandah that make this place the number one place to stay. Being just outside the Ploce gate is spot on and fab having the bakery and a supermarket next door. Myself and my husband had the room with direct access to the balcony which you should defo try to get as... more

The Villa Adriatica has a number of praiseworthy elements; the terrace has to be among its finest features. As others have said, and as its Web site shows, the view from the terrace is glorious! To be able to sit there and savor that view at any time of day during my 3-day stay late in May was a real... more

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. The location is perfect, right next to the old town, with a huge balcony with a view to die for. room 4, had a windows that looks out to the old town, but no direct access to Balcony. Our bed was a little uncomfortable, but all the other facilities were great.... more

We stayed for 4 nights at the Villa Adriatica in Dubrovnik. The stay was perfect and I would certainly stay there again. I am writing to clarify a few points that were discussed by others about V.A. Because of a very few negative points I had read by other reviewers, I was a bit worried about the booking. HOWEVER, I... more

We stayed at Villa Adriatica for 2 nights. Room 3 was perfect with direct access to the Terrace, which overlooks the small harbor. Room 1 was cozy, but load at times due to traffic on the main road. Teo was very accomodating with all of our requests. I would recommend Villa Adriatica if you are looking for the perfect location... more

We would like to thank Teo and his family at the Villa Adriatica for a wonderful stay. The location of the villa outside the Ploce Gate is ideal and the terrace overlooking the harbor is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sun set. Teo met us at the airport and provided us with the lay of the land... more

My partner and I stayed at Villa Adriatica for 5 days in early September 2008. Teo, son of the owner, picked us up at the airport on time, and on the drive into Dubrovnik, he gave us great sightseeing ideas. We stayed in Room #1 which is on the top floor with direct access to the wonderful common terrace. The... more

We spent five nights in Room 1. It's a fairly large room that easily fit our toddler's travel cot. The view from the terrace can't be beat! Villa Adriatica is located literally just outside the Ploce gate. The bed, however, was horrible. It consisted of two twin/single beds -- each with a headboard and footboard -- pushed together. There was... more
