I don't know what some of your contributors expect-this is a five star hotel and one of only two hotels within the walls of the magnificent city of Dubrovnik .Of course it's expensive but surely you know that when you book up.Our room was well appointed with decor approprate to an eighteenth century palace and a bathroom with both a... more

A wonderful stay in a charming and well run hotel right in the centre of this beautiful old city. It was so much more convenient to be staying close to everything rather than in one of the hotels outside the walls, and certainly more atmospheric and part of the whole holiday experience. We were given a small but well kitted... more

We arrived quite late, at around 9:30 in the evening, but there was a friendly face to greet us and show us to our room. The room was beautiful, lovely furnishings, high beamed ceilings, and a luxurious bathroom with a walk in shower and separate slipper bath. Breakfast was a leisurely affair, with pastries and bread on offer, followed by... more

The Pucic Palace has the great advantage of being situated in the heart of Dubrovnik's historic centre. Unfortunately, for this reason it seems the hotel sees fit to significantly overcharge for its services. Don't get me wrong, the hotel is perfectly nice and comfortable. But for the price I was paying, the room was surprisingly small (though it has to... more

The staff was very lovely and accomodating - champagne and chocolate cake were awaiting us in our 2nd floor, square facing room. This was my husband's doing, however, not the hotel's even though we informed them it was our honeymoon. The bed was quite comfortable and the ceilings high but we only got one uninterrupted night's sleep: Night one was... more

We just returned from the Pucic Palace. My husband and I stayed there for two nights. Our room was on the first floor, just above the kitchen. The first night when we returned from dinner at about 11, the room was full of fryed fish smell. We called the reception and asked for room change but they said the hotel... more

we spent our honeymoon at the Pucic and couldn't have hoped for a lovelier stay. The hotel is expensive, but, having stayed in similarly priced hotels throughout the world, it is well worth it - the rooms are delightful, the service outstanding, the breakfasts are huge and with an extensive range of food. Other reviewers on this site have bemoaned... more

I'll concede this point to several of the more negative reviews: Perhaps it is a bit overpriced. However, I just returned from a Croatia/Venice honeymoon and found the Pucic Palace, and Dubrovnik, to be the most memorable of the places we stayed. Our experience found the staff to be friendly and extremely corteous, willing to provide beach towels, eager to... more

We stayed here 3 nights in the old Grad of Dubrovnik. We got the Gundilic suite (no room numbers, names of famous Croatians, he's a writer), which was a large room bisected by a table/TV into a bed area and a sitting area. The room was great! Very tasteful decorations, a two-foot wide balcony if you wanted to use it... more

We just returned from the Pucic Palace last week. The hotel is average at best, The rooms are fine and clean. In any other city in the world this would be a 2 or 3 star hotel and would cost about $150 a night. It is by far, without question, the most overpriced and worst value for money hotel I... more
