Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a group tour. The rooms are adequate and clean, as is the bathroom. Just returned from a weeks stay at the Hotel Tirena with very mixed feelings. Trip Advisor recommendations are usually very good but this one was a little disappointing...but not really bad. This place was OK but surprisingly expensive for what it was. It cost us $350 for 2 nights though I guess you may be able to get it cheaper. I'm surprised in a way it gets so many good reviews. Fairly east to get to the old town using the No. 6 bus taking about 20 mins. Pretty good breakfast... more

The hotel is spotless; comfortable and the staff very friendly. However the music bar is badly located under some guest rooms which meant that the music was hushed at 10pm and finished at 11pm.....much too soon for the irish who like to gather and chat / drink / sing until at least 1pm..... more

This is a great hotel for the money. More like a 4 Star. Rooms are excellent and quiet - very clean. Food is very good with lots of variety although I thought there could have been a barbeque night and a Croatian night. Sevice is excellent. Chose this hotel as most reasonably priced in high season which had a pool. Finding room is very confusing (images of the shining came to mind) but once there it was big and clean.Our beds were uncomfortable though and the air conditioning didn't seem to work very well.
