Villa Argentina is nicely situated at walking distance from the old town of Dubrovnik. Some of the rooms are very tiny. Also the service can be improved. Well worth a visit is the outside pool which is sometimes just overflown by huge ocean waves.

We had just a couple of nights to stay in Dubrovnik and picked the Argentina off the Internet, not knowing what to expect. Now I'd rate it one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in, and we've traveled a lot. It's built into a cliff about a 5-minute walk from the walled old city. From the terrace where you...

The hotel is wonderful, the best location, walking distance of the old center, excellent breakfast, very nice beach area, nice staff, very comfortable rooms. It only lacks of having wifi access in the room, you need to go to the lobby to use it. When you are traveling on vacations, and you want to talk to your family through skype...

My partner and I herd lots of good applause for Croatia and thought let's see what the fuss is about.
We took 11 days starting in Split then Huvar with a night on Korutula ending in Dubrovnik for 5 days.
We had a great time everywhere, the people and places a joy.
GVA was unfortunately a let down, it is...

We spent 7 nights at this marvellous hotel in early July. the weather was exceptionally humid so the air conditioning (throughout the hotel and very effective) was essential to a comfortable stay.
All of the staff were courteous and helpful and when we discovered that the remote on the television was faulty a man was on the doorstep in less...

My Fiance and I stayed at the Villa Argentina for 1 week at the beginining of June. The hotel itself is beautiful... it is especially great for those that love sunbathing and swimming. The hotel has two pools, an outdoor and indoor pool, both of which are great. A holiday to me is all about the pool and I have...

Now don't get me wrong... it is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location and very accessible for the city. It has lovely terraced gardens and sun deck. Most (more later) of the staff are helpful and very pleasant. Some great fun. The food is excellent and the rooms a good standard, if on-economy small.
If you are on a...

The Victoria restaurant was absolutely amazing. We spent the last night of our honeymoon here. The hotel had reserved us the best table, with direct views to the old town for the most beautiful sunset. Service was excellent without being overly formal.
Food came with silver domes over it to be revealed on cue - I felt like I was...

During June we stayed four nights in the Villa Argentina. We arranged for the hotel’s limo transfer (42 Euro) from the airport, which we highly recommend as the airport is a good distance (approximately half an hour drive) from the hotel/town. Our accommodations included a standard room with no view, which was all that was available when we booked months...

This a nice enough hotel, which if it was 3 stars would be adequate. After picking it for the added luxuries we were constantly dissapointed by the ambivalent staff and often surly attitudes. Food is basic and wine massively overpriced. Bath leaked, concierge failed to make bookings as requested and just recommended the hotel restaurant!
