This is a very nice hotel, clean rooms, decent location, and nice people. A few minutes away from the bus station, and a few minutes walking from bars, grocery store, and shopping. The street in front of the hotel is a one way street, and only busy during the rush hour (if you can call that in a small town).... more

Stayed for 3 nights in September. Our room was adequate and we did not have any trouble with noise from the busy road that the hotel fronts. As others have stated previously, the hotel is located in Lapad and is quite a distance to the old town by foot - about 30 minute walk. The bus stop is located in... more

The Ifka is a modern hotel on the Lapad Peninsula, approximately 10 minutes by bus from Dubrovnik Old Town. It fronts onto a busy road and has no grounds/gardens apart from a small terrace with tables and chairs facing the road. There is some seating in the entrance lounge/foyer, which also has a bar, but there is no residents' lounge... more

Have just thrown up in the airplane home - hoping they wouldn't throw me off. Didn't get any sleep due to running to the loo all night. Husband was the same because we ate the same thing at dinner in this place. I explained to the receptionist on checking out that I didn't wish to pay for dinner as it... more

I enjoyed my time at Ivka Hotel. Spotless and quiet. The room was big, the bathroom was also big. The room had aircondition and safe. The breakfast was good. The hotel is a short walk from the beach and supermarket. Its pretty far away from the old town, I dont recommand taking the bus to get there if you are... more

True the hotel is quite a way from the old town, but frequent and cheap buses (every 10 minutes) run from the top of the road of the hotel. Make sure you take bus number 6 (same road as the hotel) down to the old town and then bus 4 back - taking bus 6 goes a different direction on... more

Bus stop is very close. Room is very big. Problem with no safe in room when they say there was one.. :^( Breakfast is typical for the area. The bread is very good. Old town is bus ride away but adds to the adventure. Came home late after movie and bus dropped us right at the front door! It's very... more

Hotel basic but clean. Buffet OK but not well presented. Although hotel states it caters for vegetarians there was no veggie option on 2 evenings during my 7 night stay. I approached the head waiter who arranged for a dish of fried breaded cheese. Breakfast buffet was poor with fried eggs left laying on a warmer until they were cold.... more

Is not exactly near the Bus and the map we were given was wrong so we found it awkward getting there. Its also halfway between beach and Old town so really in no mans land. Excellent Hotel, most modern I stayed in while in Croatia, and the only one with a lift. Also had lovely reception and balcony. I also... more

having spent two weeks in Croatia I know how hard it is to get a good modern hotel and not one that seems it just came out of the Cold War. Ivka had a lovely modern room - plenty of space and a balcony. The bus to the old town goes right past the front door too. 5 mins and... more
