My wife and I have just returned from 5 days in Croatia. I booked double room
accomodation at Luton Apartments, outside Zadar from the Hostelworld website. It was our first time to Croatia and found it charming and beautiful. I imagine this would be like visiting Greece decades before the lager louts descend on many resorts and the Euro made everything more expensive. The room and decor seemed pretty new, with non standard extras such as a filter coffee maker, iron & board, hairdryer, and plug in mozzie machine. (Unfortunately, I could not locate the tablets and only discovered on the final day that the owners would provide these free of charge, so I got bitten a fair few times !) The grounds themselves are compact but very well manicured, with ornamental bushes, lime and orange trees and grape vines covering the carport and dining area. The expanded dining & grill area really encouraged one to cook alfresco and we had two very entertaining evenings with fellow guests... more
