Things would be a whole lot better if a Hotel owner in Ukraine took their staff for training in the west....so employees can understand what service is all about. The building is old but beautiful. Rooms are very good. The problem is with the breakfast which is not very good. Bread seemed to have at least 2 days. Also the restaurant is not very good also. more

It seems that the Grand Hotel has seen better days. The hotel itself is lovely: beautiful lobby stairway, attractive restaurant, cozy bar, great renov bathrooms... but the level of service has suffered some with new owners. Excellent location and the desk staff spoke Engligh and were friendly! Both these two last points are rare on their own among Ukraine Hotel staff, but in combination its a small miracle.
