The modern, very large glitzy lobby is very impressive. Once upstairs, things are not quite so perfect. Our biggest issue was pertaining to our room. Although it had a non-smoking sign on the door, it had obviously been smoked in. The ventilation system circulated smoke-smelling air & our night clothes still carried the smell of smoke the next night (picked... more

We stayed for one night in the hotel. On the positive side, the hotel looks nice on the outside and spacious, clean and luxurious on the inside. The rooms are also comfortable and clean, with nice beds. The dinner restaurant (The Four Seasons) has great food and it's not expensive. There is paid (inexpensive) parking. However, our overall experience was... more

This hotel was trying to be upscale with a style all over the map: generally, the lobby and rooms felt clean and modern, but some of the meeting areas and restaurants looked like sets from 1970's sci-fi movies. Other than these comical areas, it generally met my expectations of service and comfort from a 3.5-star hotel. The location is good,... more

We stayed for one night and booked a very good rate. The hotel staff were very warm upon our arrival and the check in was very efficient. The hotel is very modern and the lobby areas and restaurants look great. The room is comfortable and is similar to a Hilton Garden Inn or other similar property, we had a very... more

Basic hotel, nothing too special. The breakfast is one of the most dissapointing experiences I have ever had with a hotel. The cake tastes of absolutely nothing The front desk staff are nice and helpfull, but once I sort of got semi-told off when all I did was just inquire about one of my bags, which struck me as odd. more

The Novotel Plovdiv left the Accor chain last year, although it still carries the logo and gets approved supplies. It is now privately owned and managed. Since then it has been really redone and now deserves the five stars given to it. Of the six hotels we stayed in during our Bulgaria tour it was the best. Spacious rooms, good breakfast,... more

Dear All, I booked the hotel - the description was quite ok: swimming pool, massage etc. When I arrived the hotel looks nice from the outside: it is renovated to look modern, but still you can see this touch of comunism. Anyway, the lobby looks quite impressive, so my first steps went to reception. First they could not find my... more

This was the third hotel on our tour and we stayed here for 2 nights. The ‘official’ rating is 5 stars, but we thought it barely deserved 3! Our room on the 9th floor looked like it was stuck in a 1960’s timewarp – orange furniture, bed spreads and lamps, no ceiling lights and a bidet that came out of... more

Good hotel with all the amenities. Rooms air conditioned and well equipped with mini-bar and television. Only two English langauge channels. Breakfast average. Located within a short walk from the pedestrian only areas with shops and restaurants. Inexpensive meals and drinks. more
