It was a last minute solution for us but it was exactly what we wanted. Very close to the beach (50m) and in the heart of the resort, beautiful sea view even from our room located on the other side of the hotel, clean nice furnished room, elegant bath, prompt staff, everything for a joyful vacation. Me and my girlfriend spend a lovely week, at the beginning of September, on the Black Sea in Golden Sands. My girlfriend and i are in our late twentys and travel frequently and booked Bulgeria with an open mind, buts it always concerned us that we may be faced with groups of English lads or beer drinking brits that can turn your holiday into a nightmere! A short specification - ASTERA Hotel is situated in Golden Sands Resort close to the sea (ab. 20 km far from Varna, 50 m from the beach) and not in Varna. We’ve stayed in Astera Hotel two times in extra season but believe me all services (spa center, fitness, and pool, casino, etc.) were functional. Nice people and good food.... more
