A very modern hotel sitting right alongside the Danube. The room we had was river facing and provided views of interest. This is very much a working river and the sights are most fascinating. The staff were more than helpful despite this not yet being on what one would call the normal tourist trail, however it will be before too long. Most spoke English and those that did not sought out those that did if in difficulty. Breakfast was a little basic, egg was available but you had to prompt the waitress. Dinner at least for us was first class and so cheap, try the local wine, the Moldova products were very acceptable. A good base from which to tour the Danube Delta and the nearby Black Sea coast. more
