I travel quite a bit and have stayed in some great hotels and some not so great hotels but this place is the worst to date I will ask you please to bear with me because my recent experience of this hotel was that indeed a experience and a very bad one. On first looks this hotel looks very nice... more

I'm very surprised first of all at recent reviews about this hotel. Myself and my fiancee have just got back in England today, having been sceptical about the place based on recent reviews prior to actually getting there. We've had a great holiday. Our room was very nice and kept to a very clean standard every day by the English... more

Hi Friends I went to Sousse for an office trip in June, 2008 and stayed in this hotel for 3days/2nites...I am not a Tunisian national, but a freelancer...we were able to negotiate a rate of 80 Tunisian Dinars (65USD) per day for a presidential suite, through our local travel links... The entry to the hotel was so majestic, a long... more

arrived after 7 hours of travelling very tired, it looked pretty impressive as we drove to the main entrance. The lobby/recepetion was also pretty good. I checked in and was promptly shown to my room, opened the door and thought mmmmm, 4 star NEVER it was 2 star accomodation, i said to the wife dont worry we will have a... more

This was an awful hotel with sewage smells, stains on hallway carpets, infestations of flying ants in the conference rooms & tired furnishings. It would be just about ok if you paid for 2/3 star but is no way near the standard of the other 4star hotels in Tunisia. The food was limited with similar items for breakfast & evening... more

Being a predominately none British hotel was great for us, meaing we had high standards of food and service, so we would say do not let the number of other euro-residents be a turn off! The rep was great, make sure you listen to their advice when venturing out of the resort though, invaluable. Smashing, enthusiastic staff at the hotel,... more

We understood before we arrived that 4 stars would mean something different in Tunisia than it does in the US or Europe. However, we were surprised at how low the quality of the hotel and services were. On the positive side, the beach was very nice--the sand is soft and beautiful. Also, the hotel has recreational activities, and when we... more

I have been astonished by certain negative comments mainly in French of some of my compatriots. It gave me the impression they were writing about another hotel!! Some history: note that the hotel was opened as a “Corinthia hotel” (Maltese ownership which has some problems) and during contacts with some clients who came since years there has been in the... more

We have returned from a two week stay at the Karthago El Ksar Hotel in september 2007. The hotel is magnificent, the cuisine is excellent and we have never experienced such incredible service before, the sea and pool attendants were wonderful. It was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves away from the hotel to go to the... more
