What a treat to stay at Villa Ban Lakkham. Luang Prabang is a beautiful, laid back town, and VBL is ideally located to enjoy it. Overlooking the Nam Khan river, many places are within easy walking distance, and the complimentary bikes were great for exploring nearby villages. We had intended only to spend a couple of days and venture further... More

Villa ban Lakkham was the icing on the cake for my stay in the most amazing of travel destinations, Luang Prabang. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Villa Ban Lakkham. My sincere thanks to all the staff, including Yod, Kung, Mr Ono and Nui, who were warm and friendly, and always prompt and helpful with their assistance.... More

Villa Ban Lakkham represents some of the best qualities of my two week experience of Laos. The food is sensational, the staff warmly helpful with an unflappable lack of fuss, and the polished teak decor unmistakably and exotically Asian. It is exceptionally located, overlooking the Nam Khan River from the restaurant terrace and with the main street of Luang Prebang... More

Great locations, peaceful surroundings, tidy room, clean toilet, 2 comfy single beds, free wifi, cute verandah and very friendly, helpful staffs which are a credit to the hotel. There is also a computer available for use in reception. Breakfast was simple but nice and fresh at the riverside open-air restaurant across the road overlooking the Nam Khan River. We did... More

Spellbinding ambience and heaps of local character make Villa Ban Lakkham probably the most unforgettable SE Asia inn/boutique hotel I have ever stayed at. The restaurant called The Indestructible Rock (on account of a very intriguing story about a rock that refused to be blown up even by dynamite) is simply phenomenal. Ask for recommendations, and make sure you sample... More

A charming, old Colonial style hotel situated on a quiet road beside the Nam Khan river. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the river. The hotel has a riverside terrace restaurant where breakfast is served. There is a good selection of Laotian and western food. The reception staff speak good English and Thai and are very helpful.

I had not booked in advance, so I went around by bicycle to look at locations and appeal of hotels or guesthouses. It was Villa Ban Lakkham which attracted me most from outside. Not on the bustling Mekong waterfront but situated on the much quieter and more atmospheric smaller river Nam Khan this ensemble of 2 twohundred year old houses,... More

Loved my stay here....and fell in love with Luang Prabang. The hotel was very accomadating as we extended out trip twice during this stay. The rooms are very nice...we were on the first floor and had a small sitting area outside by the sidewalk...the first night some people parked themselves infront of our sitting area or were in the next... Very charming and lovely wood decor for the rooms but the service was just the best. Ms. Yod, Ms. Kung and Mr. Ono were so friendly and helpful. When our shoes got all muddy on the trek, Ms. Kung arranged to have them cleaned. I didn't even ask what it would cost and it was so reasonable. Then when we... More

Villa Ban Lakkham is a small, mid-priced, two story, street front villa with 9 well appointed rooms facing the Nam Khan river. Our room was of reasonable size but did not have drawers for clothes. The bathroom is a big plus with its shower for two. Breakfasts were good and served across the street on a patio facing the river.... More
