First of all, when traveling to LP, you will have lots of choices for places to stay (assuming you are not traveling at the very top of the season). From there the selection really comes down to personal preference. For those who want to spend USD150-USD300...it exists and it's nice (we wanted to check it out and just see it).... more

Had a lovely room with warm wooden floors, huge comfy bed, small TV and modern bathroom. All very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great location. Handy for main sites, rivers, food options and morning alms round. Low season rate of $35 seemed good value to me. My only criticism would be that the outside area isn't really used -... more

I stayed here for 10 days, 5 as a solo, 5 with a friend. It is the perfect place to stay in LP. Close to the main street, but away from the hustle and noise of the night market. Quick walk to restaurants, massages, snack bars, wats, the rivers, etc. Somchit, the owner, was always very welcoming and interested in... more

Luang Prabang was a wonderful surprise and the best part of the surprise was this perfect guest house. There was great pride in providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room and especially the bathroom were spotless - I am bathroom snob. They were thoroughly cleaned daily. All rooms overlook a lush garden with a brick courtyard where a delicious... more

Arriving at the Villa was a lovely, peaceful change of pace after spending a few days in chaotic bangkok. It is quiet, well-run, and has beautifully appointed rooms. more

Having been recommended this villa by another guesthouse that was full, we were absolutely delighted with our stay and consequently chose to stay longer than originally planned. Villa Saykham exceeded our expectations - Somchit, the proprietor and her staff were very warm and helpful and made us feel very welcome and at home. Tte villa is ideally located close to... more

Villa Saykham is quite new -- opened September 2007 -- and has 12 regular rooms (with single or double beds) and 3 "family" (triple) rooms. We found good reviews on Travelfish (it hasn't yet been much reviewed here yet). The lodgings, location, and service exceeded our expectations; it was the nicest lodging of our Laos trip (including stays at the... more

Mistake with booking at original choice, caused us to find this gem. Perfect location, recently refurbished. very clean & spacious rooms. Quality wood floors & furniture. Decor and fittings definitely has a feminine touch. Well priced At $45 inc Breakfast. Would love to go back. more
