Definitely take a room on the front side of the hotel (first floor) as the highlight of this hotel is watching the procession! Hotel is not special in any way, but certainly a good place to stay in for the first days in Luang Prabang. more

All accommodation in Luang Prabang is overpriced and this is no exception. The pluses include the position, opposite a big monastery and ideally situated for viewing the monks file (06.30 winter/05.30 summer) file into town to collect alms. We booked a room in the old block that faces the street for 35 dollars a night. On arrival the owner claimed that the room was now 45 dollars a night.
