We booked over the phone and booking was respected even though we got in late and the place was packed. We had a room facing the front - the back is preferable as the streeet seems to specialise in tyres for every vehicle in town. I went to Aleppo for a few days in January/2009 and i was enchanted with the reasonable prices, the warmth of the staff always wanting to please you, the cleanness due to the efficient and helpful Khaled, Tourist Hotel is a very special place where you feel comfortably at home, in a familiar place, and in total privacy. Great budget hotel (feels a bit more like a Pension) in a good location, despite being in the middle of the tyre district! As soon as you walk in, and up the clean stairs dotted with well cared for plants - you'll get a feeling for what the place is about. Its feels like you are staying at your grandparents... more

We turned up on the doorstep of the Tourist Hotel to get their last double room. Our guidebook told us it would be clean and well run, and it is!
