We spent two nights here in June and really liked it. Quiet, clean, and a charming decor. No computers here, but free wireless. There is also a great high speed internet cafe across the way that's open until about 4am (down the street to the right of the large church across the way- ask at the desk). The staff recommended... more

This lovely renovated old Syrian house turned into a hotel lies just at the northern tip of the old Christian Armenian quarter of the city. It is located in the bustling centre of Aleppo and is close to the old Souqs and other main attractions. At the same time it is far enough from the street so that you can... more

This hotel was like walking into a different world from the outside! It was wonderful after a hectic day in Aleppo to have such a pleasant place to come back to. The hotel centers around two courtyards with fountains and plants and natural light. The ambiance is peaceful and restful. The reception staff were lovely and helpful and the door... more

After visiting 2 other boutique Hotels: beit wakil, and hotel Jdayde; we decided to chose this one and did not regret it at all. Staff were really pleasant and all really smiley and helpfull. I rarely experienced as good service in Syria. Althought receptionists from the above mentioned hotel were also friendly and courteous. Mandaloun's Manager: Monsieur Goerges just look... more

Stayed there for two nights and loved it. Great service and very quiet. The only negatives were no parking available if you are driving a rented car. Some of the rooms have a lot of stairs to climb. I would suggest you choose your room carefully if you are a senior citizen. Overall a great place. Probably one of the... more

Choosed the hatel, as this one of the view mid class hotels whcih seems to accept Master Card. Rooms have been verry traditional with well working sanitary installations. Staff and management was really verry helpfull and friendly. All rooms are towards the courtyard. If groups are leaving early, rooms in the groundfloor can be a little noisy. Breakfast was good... more

The hotel is a beautifully restored old house with rooms built around two courtyards. We had a spacious and very comfortable double room in the second courtyard. Staff were very pleasant and professional. The hotel is located in Al Jadeida, which is a very lively part of Aleppo with many shops and restaurants. And only a 15 minute walk, or... more

The Hotel is strategically positioned at border between new and old town, and we could easily walk to the souk.We slept in 2 different rooms: the suite on the ground floor (120 Us$) and a corner room (90Us$) on the first floor: both were extremely clean, quite nice and comfortable, the first floor room a bit noisier than the suite.... more

We had a ground floor double at $85 per night and it was worth it. The court yard is lovely with pet tortoises roaming around. The room was clean and full of character with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good. I used the laundry service - it wasnt cheap but was ready the next day. The hotel made our... more

We arrived by taxi from Beirut and presented ourselves at reception, Lonely Planet open at appropriate page.We were immediately welcomed, given a choice of rooms, a welcome drink and a loan of some Syrian pounds to pay our driver as we had miscalculated our cash requirements! We opted for a downstairs courtyard room , airier and better appointed than the... more
