Great location but poor and arrogant service (except for the red-headed woman at the front desk.) Our room was very small and not very clean. I would ask to see a room before accepting it. After one day, we left and went to the Mandaloun which was excellent. more

After a hair raising taxi ride by a friendly taxi driver in the wee small hours of the morning we arrived at the hotel. After a speedy check in, we were directed to our rooms which were located in the adjacent building to the main hotel, down a small alleyway. The rooms were large and charming, decorated in the local... more

The hotel itself is extremely attractive. I was in the main building (apparently there are others) and I liked the style a lot - courtyards, fountains, Middle Eastern arches. It's also very well located (although perhaps a little tricky to find first-time - like every Syrian hotel I stayed in) close to a nice little pedestrian square and within easy... more

This hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our trip of Syria. We stayed in one of the old houses, about a 1 minute walk off the main house. The main house has reception and the restaurant. Our room came off an internal courtyard, which was beautiful and quiet. The room was very tastefully decorated and... more

We stayed in this hotel with 3 children for 3 nights. You cant beat the location or the service at this hotel. The rooms were a good size and the hotel is very charming - decorated in typical Syrian style. Highly recommend this one and great value too. more

I cannot recommend this hotel. It is described as a 'boutique' hotel but it is more shopping mall that boutique. The hotel has now expanded into several neighbouring courtyard houses and feels impersonal. The room was fine but oddly laid out. The windows were not fully curtained so there was light shining in at night. The bathroom was small, also... more

This is a lovely boutique hotel in the town in Aleppo. We had tried to book the Beit Wakil hotel nearby which was full and were fortunate to stay here. We weren't disappointed at all. The rooms are basic, but traditional. The staff are friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Nearby Beit Sissi restaurant and next door... more

We wanted to try a boutique hotel and so we booked here 3 nights. We were happy that we did it because it is a traditional beautiful house and it gave us great memories plus it is very well located. But it was a bit too expensive for the service offered. One night there was a concert right outside our... more

Our room was nice and large, in one of the back buildings so it was pretty quiet except for one night when the person in the neighboring room was blasting the TV. We paid $103 a night which I think was reasonable. The service is a little uneven. Sometimes breakfast was better than other times. Sometimes they let things run... more

There are thieves at the hotel Dar Zamaria. While we where having breakfast our last day in Aleppo (Friday March 28). Someone went into our room and change USD$800 for fake money (false dollars). We didn't realize immediately, only when we arrived to Lebanon that day and wanted to change money we knew that we were stolen. Is unbelievable that... more
