I stayed in Al-Gawaher for two days and I liked it a lot. It's located in a very central place, close to the clock tower. I especially liked the staff (they were genuinely friendly and helpful) and the great atmosphere in this hotel. Did someone say "towels"!? Dirty or not, I saw none of these, it would also have been a blessing to realise they don't supply toilet paper before sitting down! Its not clean, it is central and the staff are welcoming but whether its worth it I'm not sure. If you cant find loo roll in the souk, you may wish... more

worst hotel i stayed in - although ive been to probably the worst places on earth. place was cold - staff were cold. so dirty and unhygenic - towels were dirty. expensive but not worth it. more

clean, neat little hotel, with simple rooms and comfy beds. Friendly management. The location is absolutely great- right in the centre of things, but being down a small alley keeps the noise down. Highly recommended. more
