Almost everything about this place is good and you will leave thinking what a beaut bloke Abdullah is and he is 100% honest , friendly , reliable. # The only STRONG criticism is, that he allows family members and staff [including himself] to use/eat and smoke {heavily} in the common areas [pretty enclosed and not ventilated}and this does not leave... more

We stayed here in August 09 with our three children (15, 11 and 10) and all bunked down in the same room, two of us on mattresses on the floor. This is a professionally run backplackers place which is clean, offers facilities such as secure storage and dishes out good breakfasts. Location is in centre of Aleppo. Fair climb up... more

We stayed at the Riad hotel for 3 nights for 1000 SYP for an ensuite double (not including breakfast). The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel organises trips around the region (lots to see if you are into archaelogy) We had a nice big room but a friend of ours wasn’t impressed by their small dingy single... more

Stayed in the Riad in Hama for a few nights as a base to see Krak, Safita and to go on, via various other sites to Aleppo. The Hotel is on the main street in Hama. You have to walk up many flights of stairs to get to reception. Once at reception you meet the hotel owner who shows you... more
