I visit Jeddah fairly regularly. Most times O cannot find reservation at my favorite hotel; thus, this is my second choice. It is an old building but has been renovated this year (2009). Stayed for two nights while on a business trip on the Arabian Peninsula. Relatively centrally located, near U.S. Consulate. Arrived during the evening, no more smoke free rooms very available; hotel offered to freshen up room, but this wasn't necessary.
