Great hotel, really classy. All rooms set out around a square that imitates a carvanserai. 15 minutes walk to the main square. 5 minutes walk to a main shopping street. Only one criticism: the restaurant had no ambience. Breakfasts fine though. more

I stayed in the Abbasi in early April 2009 for 3 nights. I stayed at the old wing of the building with a room on the ground floor opening into the garden. The room was spacious (even by today's standards. I think being an ex-caravan hotel helps) and well furnished and the bathroom was more spacious than the other hotels... more

The public areas at this landmark hotel, especially the central courtyard, are beautiful, but given the high price the service can only be described as terrible. The food in the hotel's "traditional" restaurant was pretty poor, although at least you can eat al fresco in the courtyard.
