The Orient is a fabulous alternative to one of Dubai's generic hotels. Great location in the old part of town. It is very quiet except for the mosque next door and even that adds to the atmosphere! The Orient Guest House was in a great location in the old Bastakiya within a few minutes walk of all the souks and local restaurants. The service at the hotel was good and is owned by Arabian Courtyard hotel so we got to use the pool and "Sherlock Holmes" bar there and everyone was very helpful. The rooms were lovely... more
