I just loved this hostel. Beautiful atmosphere, green little garden, hammocks...Great kitchen very well equipped. We payed 90Bs for a double room and we stayed for 16 days even though we had planned to just stay one week. Its not outside of the city so its close to get in the very center but its not too close so it... More

I have mixed feelings about Pachamama. The Good: - The garden is pretty dreamy, complete with passionfruit vines, hummingbirds, and hammocks. - It's a nice, quiet place to study and do Spanish homework. - The kitchen is fully stocked with cookingware and cutlery. - The dorms are a good size, just three beds with en suite. - Parking is available... The hostel has great potential. A lovely kitchen, beautiful garden and nice clean rooms but we were very unhappy with the staff. Rules such as closing the kitchen at 9, no loo roll to be given out after 9 seem unnecessary. Then to be accused (and shouted at) of lying about not having water for an hour and a half... More

We planned to stay there for 1 night, but it became 3.. :) the beautiful small garden in the patio with a hammock for chilling out, a small but handy kitchen and real good vibe made us change our mind and just enjoy a few days in Sucre and rest from the few hassles backpacking might cause. while in Sucre,... We stumbled across this hostel on the recommendation of a stranger in the street, who stopped to tell us about it as we walked our backpacks around the city looking for somewhere to stay. We paid Bs 50 per person for a private room for two of us (even though the room had three beds). The room was comfortable, the... More

We stayed for 5 nights, the staff were helpful and allowed the motorbike to be parked in the courtyard. Rooms were clean. Price excellent (90bs for a matrimonial). Good cooking facilities, only spoilt by other guests leaving a mess when they were checking out. Internet was functional for Bolivia. Noise from nearby bars was minimal, sorted with the use of... I stayed here for a month while taking Spanish lessons at Me Gusta school (also recommended!). My favorite thing about this hostel was the beautiful garden area, so good for chilling. It had probably the best kitchen I've seen in a year of traveling. And the family who run it are really nice, normal people.

We looked at a few hostels in Sucre but as soon as we took a look at Pachamama we felt at home. We are paying 80 Bs for two in a room with three single beds. We just pushed two of them together for a kind of double bed. We have our own bathroom and the shower is hot. We... More

For only 90 Bs, the large matrimonial room and private baño are a good deal, but the club next door that starts loud music at 3 AM makes it hard to sleep on weekends. Also, don't expect reliable Internet, as the boy running it often adjusts the settings so only he can use it to download who knows what... Toilet... More

Stayed at Pachamama for a few nights in March 2012. Was very cheap and overall pretty good, about 90 Bolivianos for a double (I think). We arrived at 3am without a booking and they were very good about opening up for us and giving us a bed. Family run place, everyone was very nice. Not much English spoken, so brush... More
