Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Gross place. Our room didn't even look like the pictures shown in the photos for the room. Had a bed that folded into the wall, weird headboard on it and was completely gross under it when we pulled the matress off because the headboard left a huge gap between the bed and wall. Tape all over the walls like things got taken down but the tape was left there from a party. Was a bunch of hair on the phone cord on the desk. We actually used the pull out couch which had tons of stuff fall all over the floor when we did and put the matress on that. The walls on the top of the room seemed to have a black line and paint peeling back from it since we were the furthest corner of the "poolside" rooms. The timer switch for our heat lamp in the bathroom was in pieces when we got there and had to fight with it to make it work. None of the vending machines on ANY floor had water bottles available and the front desk was rude when we called about it. Over all, was a terrible experience and would never recommend to anyone to stay there. Never going back again, I wish I could give a 0 star rating

We came up to work on our cabin with some friends and family. We had dinner at the restaurant there and the bartender was awesome Trevor was very knowledgeable and enjoyed talking with him he made sure to check on our drinks and food. We had the BLT pizza and it was very good! As for our room that could have been a little cleaner as when we lifted up the couch there were wrappers and a sucker under there. However it was nice to have a pool side room. To the guy that took our reservation he was very accommodating!!

Me and my family are traveling, and last minute stayed here, but we had an amazing time! We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and bar. The bartender Trevor was amazing he was super upbeat and personable. He made our stay very enjoyable with great service, conversation, and music! If I'm ever rolling through alpena again I'd definitely hit this bar for a drink!

Trevor made the bar the best experience possible with serving and performing with the guitar, it made it the best experience I’ve had at the Ramada ever and if he continues to perform here I will continue to come and support the bar and him. This was the fullest I’ve seen the bar since I’ve been here and people wanted to keep buying drinks because he was performing.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! Staff is the worst and the woman working the front desk refused to give me her name or the Genral Managers name. As a pilot who was flying in for business, I had expected that they would at leats be professional. The lady at the desk swore at me and refused to refund anything.

This place has so many deffered maintenance problenms. Stay there only if nothing else is available. The heating system is antiquated. The drains for the tub are crap. Some idiot tiled over the old flooring rather than put in new backerboard in the bathrooms. In a word? Crap place.

some things could be updated, most of staff was friendly, kids loved the pool, arcade areas, good price for the rooms booked through priceline. only paid 177 for 2 nights. breakfast was okay, had cereal, pancakes, eggs, sausage, and frozen waffles. was not a wide range of beverages.

Not fancy but clean, safe, and convenient for work trip. Quiet atmosphere allowed for rest before & after work. Hot breakfast improved since my last stay few months ago, staffing can be a challenge (like many businesses nowadays). Online booking and modification was super easy.
