The room and hotel are exactly what you expect from Country Inn and Suites. Overall the hotel is a nice place to stay. What has always surprised me however about Country Inn and Suites is the wood frame construction, and how well noise from other rooms and the hallways is heard in the room. Not an issue if other guests... more

I have stayed at many of the hotels in Albert Lea, and the Country Inn and Suites is among the best. Rates at the Country Inn and Suites are usually $10 to $20 more than the neighboring Ramada or Albert Lea Inn. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The pool is nice, but often filled with children. The free continental... more

We stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in Albert Lea, MN, on October 2, 2008. We were late in arriving, and did not reach the hotel until about 8:30 PM Our room was ready when we arrived, and we found it clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fine. more

I was staying here 2 nights and it was comfortable for the short stay. Friendly service, clean rooms, sufficient breakfast. I did not use pool but saw kids swimming and enjoying it. I made a mistake by booking a smoking room. It really smelled very bad even when I was not smoking. Conditioner was too strong and blowing straight to... more

We had to come into town for a wedding, and it seemed that this was the best hotel in the area. So we stayed here, and weren't a little disappointed. The room smelled, although it seemed pretty clean, and the refrigerator door wouldn't work easily. We called housekeeping about the smell, and they gave us a "freshener spray" which did... more

First the pros...Very clean and friendly staff. Nice pool area and conveniently located to several restaurants. The cons...If you like sleeping on concrete you will love there beds. We were with a large group and you have to rent a activity room for the day or 1/2 day if you all want to gather together. The walls are thin and... more

Clean room, friendly staff - overall very nice hotel. Bonus was a microwave and fridge in the room, which is helpful traveling with a toddler. Plenty of room for her pack and play to be set up. Only real disappointment was the breakfast. Excellent if you love carbs - waffles, cereal, toast, bagels, etc. Only fruit available were apples. A... more

In an attempt to save a vew dollars, I made the mistake of booking the Ramada next door to the Country Inn & Suites. It was the tail end of our family vacation and within 10 minutes I knew that the Ramada was a bad decision. We quickly switched our last night of vacation to the Country Inn & Suites... more

This was a wonderful hotel. It was our stopover on the way home from the Mt Rushmore area to the Chicago area. All the comforts that you expect in a Country Inn and Suites. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The pool was nice although a little small, but the girls enjoyed it. The continental breakfast was good and well... more

Very nice hotel, close to shopping, dining, and attractions. Rooms are clean but could use a bit of a facelift. Breakfast was good with a lot of variety. Nice and clean location. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Pool and spa were nice and warm on a very cold night. I've stayed at a few other hotels in Albert Lea... more
