There was a mis communication about the size of the room we required in our reservation. We were told not to worry, and although we had to change rooms for the last night of our stay, all was great. Stayed here for first time and would definately return. Staff were friendly and polite and spoke excellent English (apart from the receptionist but her English was still far better than my German!). First of all, St. Wolfgang is a beautiful little city within easy driving distance from Salzburg and well worth a trip. We particularly liked the Christmas market. It had a unique feel compared to Vienna or Salzburg. The area has several great winter sports options as well. When visiting Austria, I would highly recommend spending time outside the big cities... more
