We stayed at the Apple Gate as a retreat from the daily grind. There are three suites at the Apple Gate, and we had suite 2, complete with bedroom, sitting room, private bath and private sauna.
Our hostess, Lynn, was superb. She was helpful and outgoing, and we enjoyed our conversations. She offered coffee when we arrived, and there were fresh baked cookies as well. Lynn showed us the property and made us feel right at home. At our request, she recommended dinner at Cafe Bella (the food and atmosphere were terrific).
Breakfast was served at 9:30 (we chose the time), and was bountiful and delicious. We had fresh fruit (pineapple, strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, and kiwi) with yogurt, fresh pecan cinnamon buns, and deep dish ham, cheese, and potato omelets. There was plenty of coffee, tea, juice, and milk.
