I did not expect to find this hotel in the middle of desert in such a good shape. Our room and bathroom were extremely clean and spot-less. The hotel has an elevator, so we did not have to carry our bags to the second floor. There were a hair dryer and good quality toiletries (soap/shampoo) in the room. Hotel also... more

Heard about Longstreet from a relative as an alternative to driving back and forth from Death Valley to Pahrump. It was nothing fancy but it was clean and we had fun there in the evening. Each employee has 2 or 3 functions and do them cheerfully. The bar is great and has a pretty view. Food is reasonable and good.... more

Longstreet was recommended to us by state park employees as a more reasonable cost alternative to staying in the cabins in Death Valley -- clean, quite accommodation. Also, breakfast was excellent value - one pound ham steak with eggs and hash browns for less than $5 which I split with my wife (no extra fee). Only downside to me would... more

Wanted to stay at the Amargosa Opera House but that was sold out, so they recommended this place which is 7 miles away. Room rate was $95 for most basic room. The price is very high for the services offered, but they do have a mini-monopoly on lodging that side of death valley. Pros * Friendly staff * Clean rooms... more

...after canceling our stay at Amargosa Hotel 7 miles away, we found this little gem of place...very clean, staff was freindly and helpful, food in the cafe was above average and overall this place was a good value...about an hour's drive from Beatty and Rhyolite, and an hour from Furnace Creek....a good stop if traveling between Death Valley and Vegas. more

We had to cancel our reservation, the day before we were supposed to come. Unfortunately I've been charged of the full price. No refund until today, in spite of a phone call, and 2 mails. None answer too, the desert's silent I suppose more

The Longstreet is located where Nevada 373 / CA-127 crosses the state line. My teenage son and I stayed one night to visit the Amargosa Opera House about 10 miles away. The room was spacious and clean. There was a sink / counter in the bathroom, and another in the bedroom which also had a coffeemaker; a very nice feature.... more

Restaurant right by casino non-smoking?? RIGHT!! The whole common area was filled with smoke. Even the person at the front desk was lighting up!! I understand she was probably new, but if you are going to have a new person there, please have somebody else there to help!! She was clearly frustrated and struggling to do very basic things. At... more

Very friendly employees. Was there on a Sat. night & they had a band in the bar playing country and classic rock. They were excellent. Dance floor and inexpensive beer. Had a great time. Met plenty of locals too that were very welcoming. Rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable. Cafe had decent breakfast. Enjoyed my stay. more

After reading all the glowing reviews, I was pretty a bit disappointed with this property in some regards. It truly was in the middle of nowhere, and it took us a lot longer to arrive from Las Vegas airport after turning off Highway 95 onto 373 than we expected. (I challenge you to find this place on a mapping program.... more
