I've stayed at the Hotel Aranjuez twice for business. The first time (in 2022) was perfectly fine....The second time, the hotel wouldn't provide me with a receipt. When i checked out, they politely said the person in charge was away and could they please e-mail it to me. I foolishly said yes but they never sent it...I have called and emailed them repeatedly and they always sweetly promise to send a receipt, but they never do. As for the hotel ....it's very pretty and in a good location. As it's an old-style manor, the temperature of the rooms in winter were FREEZING....colder inside than outside. Breakfast is average. Woman at the Front Desk was rude to my Bolivian friend.

I was very disappointed about the hotel and find the high rating unjustified. The bathroom was not clean nor was the breakfast room. Breakfast was bad. The room was cold, there was no extra blanket .Everything looks old and partly even shabby. Can’t recommend this place.

I stayed at Hotel Aranjuez for three nights and had the most wonderful experience. The hotel, a former hacienda built a 100 years ago, has the old world Spanish charm and the service was very personal, very professional and very friendly. Jose, the manager, went out of his way on several occasions to help me out. I would love to come back and spend more time in Cochabamba and will most definitely stay at Hotel Aranjuez.

The hotel is in a beautiful and well-maintained old building. Although in a very convenient location and only a block from a main thoroughfare, it is on a quiet street and very quiet inside. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful.

Stayed three nights in mid-January 2019. This is a nicely renovated hacienda with beautiful gardens and charming rooms. Stayed in a suite with a balcony and large bathroom that was nicely appointed. Strong wifi everywhere. But the real reason our stay was fabulous was the great and attentive staff at Aranjuez. In particular, Josie at the front desk gave us great recommendations of places in town, always with a smile. Both Wilson and Ricardo in the lobby were extremely friendly, professional and service oriented and attended to out every need. What great people! Muchisimas gracias por todas sus atenciones! Lic. The hotel building had lots of character and charm, with classic fabrics, vintage wooden furniture, chandeliers, paintings and tapestries. The ornate dining room had a decadent feel for breakfast. The promised airport transfer didn't work out when I arrived. There was nobody to meet me at the airport, though I waited 25 minutes. So I took a cab, which was cheaper, anyway. The few staff I saw at the hotel could not speak English. At night, there were no guests or staff in sight for dinner, when I stayed. I wandered around the deserted hotel & took some pictures (note the absence of people in my shots of the hotel). Then I left to eat at an excellent nearby restaurant.

The staff were extremely helpful and desirous of making our stay memorable. The room we had was a family suite. (1King, 2 double beds and a futon) The rooms do not have a/c, which is typically not an issue in Cochabamba, but this time was a little warmer than usual. We asked the desk for a fan and they delivered one to the room. The location was nice, centrally located. Many restaurants within walking distance as was a grocery store. Restaurant served delicious meals. I recommend the Steak Aranjuez and the Surubi. The cafe off the lobby served excellent espresso drinks.

I picked this hotel based on the reviews I read on Trip Adivisor. I was not disappointed. The hotel is not the cheapest in Cochabamba, but considering the beautiful grounds and great atmosphere of an old mansion, the price is not bad. Good service, good size rooms. The junior suites with pool views are nice. Loved the hotel's cat and the pool. The pool is not huge but it is not bad and it is heated! The beautiful restaurant had excellent food at reasonable prices. Wi Fi worked pretty well. Breakfast was good although I would have like some cheese instead of so many sweets. One thing to keep in mind is that there are no elevators, but they do help you with your luggage if that is an issue. There is a fan in the room but no AC. Cochabamba is usually cool but the day we arrived was quite warm. Fortunately it cools down at night. A place with lots of character and very relaxing gardens in a city that does not have many gardens. I would return
