The cost of the Pitney House was very steep but I decided we should take the plunge. My wife and I were celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary and figured this was a great option. I prepaid as requested and I was confident we would have an incredible time. Far from incredible, I was so disappointed, I have sworn off all... more

We were really looking forward to a night away for our anniversary; however our expectations unfortunately fell short. As much as the inn was quaint and had abundant charm it was also very dirty. In addition while the owner's daughter's dogs were cute their barking throughout the night was not the least bit relaxing. Unless we hear better reviews in... more

Very friendly and knowledgeable Innkeeper. Good breakfast. Dirty rugs in entrance hallway. Bedroom needed a thorough cleaning, new linens and some maintenance TLC. Thin, old, uncomfortable mattress. more

We had a great time at the Pitney house. It met all our expectations; beautiful house & rooms, very clean, great food and close to Atlantic City. Don, the owner was wonderful and very friendly! I think a great owner behind a B&B makes a stay much more enjoyable. Also, the train is literally a half block away, short 8... more

Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives at this B&B. My husband have stayed at several B&Bs in England and a few here in the US. The Pitney house was definitely below average and I would go so far as to say they are just scraping by. The positive things were: there were antiques in the room, the pitney house did... more

We were familiar with the Tuckerton area & wanted to stay in a bed & breakfast for the Valentine's Day weekend and also visit the Tomasella Winery.Great Bed & Breakfast, and reasonably priced. Authentic antiques with turn of the century ambiance. A romantic get away, and arms throw away from Smithville & Atlantic City, Don Kelly (owner) has the most... more

This is the second time that I have stayed at this B&B and all I can say is that it will be my first choice for accomodations when traveling to Atlantic City from now on. The Pitney House is a comfortable getaway from the chaos of the boardwalk and casinos and only about 10 minutes away. The rooms are cozy/clean/quiet... more

This is the best possible deal for the money in the Atlantic City area. Most of the low-grade motels are still at least $100 a night and the halfway decent ones are over $200. The rooms, history and hospitality at Dr. Pitney House are worth far more than their reasonable rates, especially when compared to other options. I believe I... more

My husband and I spent the weekend at the pitney house and totally enjoyed it. Since we went away without our children we enjoyed the quiet of the pitney house as well as the personal touch in an area that is so used to mass amounts of people coming and going. The gentleman that runs the pitney house is welcoming... more
