I had a conference in Atlantic City but chose to stay away from the hustle and bustle (and smokey environment). i was so glad that i chose Dr. Jonathan Pitney House. It was charming--bring your footstool to climb into the antique bed!!! Lots of antiques, yummy muffins from local bakery at breakfast and the owner and host, Don, is knowledgeable... more

The Jonathan Pitney House was a wonderful experience. The rooms are nice and cosy. The delicious breakfest leaves you full until dinner. I will come back to experience it again more

If you are ever searching for that romantic B&B getaway, there is no place like the Dr. Jonathon Pitney House! Each room has it's very own atmosphere and ambiance. The common rooms of the house are so intricate in their belongings that it takes several visits to each, to notice every bit of intriguing detail. Breakfast each morning is more... more

I decided to stay in a bed and breakfast this year to celebrate NYE with my boyfriend because I wanted to try something new and different. The location seemed very convenient to Atlantic City and the price was more affordable than the casinos. The website made the place seem very charming and the owner of the house was very kind... more

Although we are seasoned travelers, this was our first experience at a B&B… We spent 2 nights at the Pitney House for New Year's Eve. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm smile by Don, the Innkeeper. He escorted us to our room and took time to point out all of the various antiques in the room and the... more

I'd like to like this, but I have serious reservations (pun intended). I just read reviews posted over the period we stayed there and I don't believe them. It's clear that a huge effort has gone into refurbishing this old house and that there's a lot of history in it. However, the breakfasts were too sweet (we had "French toast"... more

This was our very first stay in a bed and breakfast and I can only hope that all of them are as nice as the inn run by Mr. Kelly. He was very hospitable and the inn is lovely. I booked the Pitney House because their prices were very competative if not better then the local hotels in the area.... more

Easy to find, this historic property consists of a mansion filled with antiques and valuable paintings (or copies thereof), and a classic contemporary duplex carriage house, also very tastefully decorated with that early American look. The jacuzzi tub might interest some. Plenty of towels and quilts. We were permitted to bring our dog. A pet friendly forum. Neighborhood is very... more

Ten years ago, (1997) my husband and I spent our first night together after our wedding at the Dr. Jonathan Pitney House. It's a warm, clean, colonial, Bed and Breakfast, where you walk in and smell fresh baked goods baking in the oven. Immediately we felt right at home! The room we stayed in was the "Jonathan room", with hardwood floors,... more
