Upon returning from Cambodia I checked the Trip Advisor to see how people rate The Sothea, and I was quite surprised to learn that very few posting have been submitted. Then I realized why it was the case – the hotel is band new, it opened its doors in February 2009, and it have not yet gathered a team of true connoisseurs to appreciate its beauty and luxury.

The Sothea really deserves the finest words to describe our experience; I honestly can say that this place was absolutely stunning and we were quite unprepared to find such world’s first class place there. We were just blown away by the quality, scenery, cleanliness, design, hospitality, service of this hotel in the heart of Cambodia, 20 minutes drive to Angkor Wat, the main temple of the Angkor complex. Upon arrival we were greeted with a jasmine garland – a pleasant way to greet the guests with a local tradition.
