A little off the beaten path, this small hotel is filled with gorgeous antiques, has a nice swimming pool, good food and the nicest staff ever. Since its a bit north of the central ciy, it's closer to Angkor Wat and the other temples--a short "tuk-tuk" drive. It is also close to the lovely National Museum. We thoroughly enjoyed our... More

Let me declare an interest, I have stayed here many times because I worked for the parent company for a year. I don't have any connection anymore to the property so this is my view looking back. - it's as good a hotel as you will find in Siem Reap in this price range, and in many ways is better... More

Really enjoyed staying here for 2 nights with some work friends. Wifi was reliable and fast enough for Skype. Pool was a great way to end the work days. Rooms were large, no road noise and shower pressure was great. The restaurant appeared to be popular. Early morning breakfasts included coffee, fruit, cereal and breads. A great value place, friendly... More

Our family of 3 stayed 4 nights & really loved this small, intimate hotel. Our room was big & comfortable and we spent a lot of time pool side. The hotel manager arranged the services of an excellent driver & tour guide who were flexible & very knowledgeable - we were often picked up before sunrise. Meals at the restaurant... More

We stayed for 3 nights. It's on the edge of town, so it's quiet, but there are always tuk tuks right outside, and it's a dollar per person into the middle of town. It's small and personal. The staff couldn't be more helpful, breakfast was lovely and the bar and restaurant reasonably priced and good. The rooms were clean, a... More

Our cheapest night out of 5 hotels we stayed in in Cambodia - and you get what you pay for. Nice pool environment (though small), and nice but dark rooms, wood furniture etc. But the service was not great, they either did not send our airport transfer or he was really late. We had an early flight in and they... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this well-run hotel. The staff were really well-trained, very friendly and everything was immaculate in public areas, pool/garden and room. We appreciated the free massage and the open access to history and art books. Food in the restaurant was also good - always very fresh and beautifully presented.

We stayed 5 nights at this very nice small hotel. The rooms are large, very spacious, with nice beds and a very nice bathroom with a rain shower as well as a standard shower and a bath tub. Wi-fi was excellent and free. Good air con. Other commented on the thin walls but we found it very quiet. The breakfast... More

My husband and I stayed in this gorgeous hotel for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. The room we had was stunning with a gorgeous 4 poster bed and lovely decorations. The staff were first class, exceptionally friendly and helpful and a credit to the owners. It is a little way out of the town but a 2 dollar... More

First the positives - staff (couldn't be better) - good food / drinks selection - complimentary WiFi - chill out pool (after lots of temples) - spa treatments very good - spacious rooms with overhead fans and air con. Negatives - $2 dollar taxi ride to pub street (where most of the restaurants are) - limited sun beds - a... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Prepare for divine inspiration! The temples of Angkor, capital of Cambodia's ancient Khmer empire, are the perfect fusion of creative ambition and spiritual devotion. HanumanAlaya, Angkor's very own boutique residence, is just a short distance away from these magnificent temple monuments and is the perfect blend of traditional Khmer design and sophisticated international amenities. Many guests love our idyllic retreat. Our guest book is a eulogy to hospitality: a 'wonderful place', 'excellent service', a 'perfect retreat'. 'Paradise'. Lovingly finished in wood and elegantly decorated in local antiques and handicrafts, the HanumanAlaya is a home more than a hotel and guests find it the perfect place to unwind after an adventurous day exploring Angkor Wat and the many other temples. Surrounded by lush gardens, a swimming pool, tropical plants, and a soothing Spa, it is an idyllic retreat from the bustle of Siem Reap beyond, a stay to be savoured rather than rushed. Angkor is a magical experience, one that will stay with visitors forever. Make it more memorable at HanumanAlaya by immersing yourself in our rooms with a personal touch. ... more   less
