Staff was friendly and helpful--we found a GREAT tuk tuk driver through the front desk who served as our personal driver for our 3 day stay--the people of Cambodia are (overall) so friendly and kind, and the staff here were no different. Rooms were ok--not spotless, but not dirty either. However, the first night, there was a gecko crawling around... more

I had the pleasure of spending 6 nights here in June'08. All things considered (including quality, time, location, price...) i rate this an excellent value. Hotel is newish, with plenty of the hardwood usually found in Cambodia. It is basic but clean and well-maintained. After Temple touring in daytime i needed to stay at the hotel and "lick my wounds"... more

I stayed here as a last resort. Location is a bit of a walk to Bar st but is a $2 tuk tuk ride. They picked me up and dropped me off to the airport no problem and I used the same kid for tours of the Lost City area ($12 US per 8 hrs) but it was 2007. Aircon... more

Smallish hotel located near the river in a fairly quiet part of town - a two dollar tuk tuk ride takes you to the heart of the action. Comfy, clean rooms with a decent bathroom. Free internet access was a bit patchy - better early morning for some reason. Nice bar and friendly staff. The clincher was the five minute... more

Average rooms, poor breakfast, completely unwelcoming atmosphere (except for two nice staff). No one seems to care about the place. Seems to filter down from the western owner. more

Room was clean, hot refreshing shower with very good water pressure, staff was very friendly - they arranged a tuk-tuk to pick me up and bring me into town which only a few minutes away by tuk-tuk. Free internet service. And it was on $40USD per night. I would definately recommend this hotel. more

We stayed at the Golden Orange 25th-28th of July 2008, after having switched hotel's the previous night. We didn't choose the Golden Orange-our 'tuk-tuk' driver said the hotel we had asked him to take us to was 'closed' (Bopha Hotel) which was a blatant lie as during our stay we saw it open. Anyhow, the rooms were okay they could... more

I stayed at the Golden Orange for four nights. The rooms were clean, the shower was hot and everything worked fine. I would have given it an above average rating, except that it was very noisy, and that ruined everything. The first night there was a party in the bar in front of the hotel (and outside my room) until... more

This place is super-cheap ~$20 USD a night. It's a little out of "the main street" but easily accessible by motor tuk-tuk. Going to Siem Reap, it's better to carry USD than to convert to their local currency. The best place to hang out is the literally "cool" Blue Pumpkin cafe. Here, you get great juices, food, internet and even... more
