My girlfriend and I drove to Arica for a weekend getaway. She had stayed at the Panamericana several times before, and raved about its staff and the fun times she and her family had experienced before. However, the last time she was there was a few years before, and she remarked at how the place seems to have gone downhill.... more

It's a comfortable hotel but, the website says it has hair dryers at the rooms and it has not. There were people complaining about the noisy events arround the pool, fortunately we were in room 366 which was away from the party area, so we didn't hear anything. Food is acceptably good, but I certainly have had better. You have... more

I spent two days at the hotel with my wife in april 2008. It is the best in Arica, and every room have ocean private view. Looks like renovation was finished, all was new, clean, and very nice garden and service outstanding. Contrary what other guests says, the hotel have direct and private access to the small beach La Lisera.... more

Hotel is the best in Aria. Wonderful staff in reception area as well as room cleaning. Have to contend with management that is lettiing the property ran down. Half light-bulbs in hallways burnt, paint peeling in the rooms, bed linen and covers need a change. Chairs in the bar are so old and dirty one would hesitate to sit there.... more

The hotel has all the features you would expect of a bigger chain. Also free Wi-Fi in the rooms, nice pool, fantastic sea views, free buffet breakfast. The hotel isn't in the town centre although it's only a 15 minute walk or a $2.50USD taxi ride (you may see this as a positive or negative). There is no beach next... more

Beautiful location! Breakfasts were delicious, though the food at night was only fair. Try Maracuya up the road for better meals. The rooms were spacious and the service is outstanding. Right on the water, I could've spent hours right on the property watching the waves roll in. Didn't try the pool, but it sure looked nice. Unfortunately not walking distance... more

We had an excellent time at this hotel. The location is amazing and as far as I know, this is the only beachfront hotel in the city. First we stayed in the regular rooms but then we decided to try the “cabanas” to enjoy a different experience. The cabanas have A/C and overall well equipped; located in front of the... more

First, the good part. The location is unbeatable. The hotel is a very scenic 15-20 minute walk south of town. The cabanas are close to the beachfront. They could use a little renovation, but there are no serious problems to report. Each one has its own patio. The major problem here is that the hotel hosts a lot of local... more

This is one of the few hotels on the seafront in Arica and is a little out of the city, but it is a short taxi ride or a pleasant enough walk with Playa Laucho on one side and El Morro on the other. To compensate for the distance it has a lovely position, overlooking the ocean and dominated by... more

My husband and I plus two friends booked this hotel using only the information provided by the hotel. We were told it was a 4-star hotel. All bookings had to be made through a Florida based travel agency and everything had to be paid in full in advance. The friend who made the reservations through the Florida travel agency said... more
