Overall excellent, comfortable hotel with extremely friendly, helpful staff. We had a problem with an upcoming penguin tour scheduled for early the next morning, and a front desk staffer immediately helped, with excellent follow-up. The room and bath were very clean, the breakfast buffet was pretty good, and the wireless internet worked well. The only problems were: 1. Our room... more

We stayed here for only one night, and didn't arrive until around midnight because our flight arrived so late at night. Check in was quick, and our bags were brought to the room for us immediately. We had a double room that overlooked the Strait on the 6th floor. The room was clean, comfortable, and reasonable in size considering we... more

Unfortunatelly, following several advices I decided for this Hotel but everything seemed to be in half way, not eanoght big room, not so clean, not a good price and the most important, service was not so great as expected. The location was not bad but it was not so cloe to the main attractions in the city centre. It is... more

Stayed here 2 nights at the end of August 2009.Flew from Santiago to Punta Arenas and back less than 48 hours later just to say I had been there. Punta Arenas, in winter at least, feels like the "wild west" but as soon as you step into this warm, comfortable and well maintained hotel, you feel safe. My request for... more

Great hotel! Warm. Excellent views of the Straights of Magellan and the city center (request a corner room on the 7th floor). Definitely worth the extra cash. more

This is the best place to stay in Punta Arenas. The reception area is elegant and the staff are truly helpful, considerate and attentive. Its a great way to start or end your journey in Patagonia. The hotel is centrally located and it has an international feel, very distinguished and modern. The rooms are superb. I would definitively come back... more

Stayed here for one night in early July en route back from Torres del Paine. Everything was perfect. We had a good room on the seventh floor overlooking the Stait of Magellan. The rooms are quite large with excellent bathrooms, The TV has 99 satellite channels and there is a good and most importantly, free internet connection. Breakfast was included... more

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights - and loved it. The entry foyer, dining area and all the ground floor areas are spectacular. We thought breakfast was great. Our room was overlooking the plaza, and was perfect. We found the reception staff not terribly 'with it' at times, but no big problem. The hotel is in a... more

Hotel is fine for a night or two. Probably only stay here stopping route to torres del paine. Punta arenas is ok but no too much to do. A couple of good restaurant and the peguin colony was fun for a half day visit. more

We spent one night in Punta Arenas following a Patagonian cruise and we loved the Cabo de Hornos Hotel. The location was perfect, right on the main town square. The lobby was spectacularly dramatic, fully done in stone with beautiful accents. While the style would not please those looking for local or historic ambience, we loved it. There is a... more
