We stayed at the Carpo for one night en route to the Falkland Islands. We chose the Carpo purely based on previous reviews. We were delighted with the clean and confortable rooms, the good (by Chilean standards) breakfast and the superb, friendly and helpful staff. The man and lady at reception whose names I don't remember went out of their... more

As others have said a nice quiet hotel, clean smallish rooms, good location whithin about 5 (small) blocks of most places you would want to go. Staff are very nice and friendly and speak some English. Very willing to help you out with arrangements. Also, wifi throughout the hotel. I thought the breakfast was fine by Patagonia standards. The only... more

Stayed one night here on way back to Santiago. Staff was very welcoming and helpful, superior room was comfortable (new, clean, comfortable bed, tv), bathroom fine (excellent shower pressure). NO view (might have once been a garden, but now dirt), and terrible breakfast (crackers, toast, instant coffee). Location on quiet street, 10-15 minutes walk to main square. For the price,... more

This hosteria is newish, cozy and located within walking distance to the places one would want to visit in Punta Arenas. The hosts are very nice and helpful, and breakfast is good. The beds are also very compfortable. I would definitely stay there again. more

January 2008 We stayed three nights at Carpa Manzano and found the location excellent--in a nice neighborhood and a short walk to downtown. The main attractions, however, are the manager, Miroslava, and also Jaqueline, who were warm, helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and relaxed, despite constant demands on them by guests. Miroslava speaks excellent English. We had a near-disaster with lost documents,... more

We stayed four nights in a superior room on the top (2nd) floor. The room was a good size, the bed was large and had a high quality mattress, we were able to control our own heat. Our only serious problem was that in the morning it was routine for water pressure to totally disappear for a few minutes at... more

Stayed here because of the reviews in trip advisor. Spanish and English speaking owner who went out of her way to make arrangements for us. Clean, comfortable and close to a great restaurant. more

We booked this hotel through the [----] website, whose general manager (English speaking) organized a special trip for us to see my mother's birthplace at a sheep station on Tierra del Feugo. His expertise made our trip to Patagonia very special. The hotel was wonderful - warm, clean, welcoming, a huge 8 foot bed, en suite with loads of hot... more

This was my first time in Chile and South America, on my way to our Antarctic Peninsula Cruise on the SS Adventurer through Zegrahm Expeditions in Seattle. Miroslava, the owner, also works behind the check-in desk and makes her appearance daily to make sure all is going well with her guests. The airlines had lost my luggage, especially my Antarctic... more
