Overall this is a very solid 3 star hotel. Nothing too fancy but clean (very clean by Chinese standards) and comfortable. The decor is very modern. If you are an interior designer the use of so many motifs and patterns may be considered offensive. For those of us who have less refined taste the decor can seem unusual and in some cases unexpected. The rooms are a little smaller than other parts of China-more like Hong Kong. MAstering the video on demand system seems requires an extensive knowledge of written chinese and several hours of study. However, with just a few minutes of experimentation you can watch TV. The AC works very well and ther is plenty of hot water in the modern and very clean bathrooms. Broadband is fast and easy to connect to. If you don't have an expense account that lets you stay at the Marco Polo this place is a good bet. more
