Spent 2 nights there 1-2 weeks before CNY in Jan 2009 for the Ice festival. We paid about 100-120 USD a night-which we thought was a bargin compared to the other international hotel chains - rooms were going for 250 USD a night for the dates we wanted. Room was dated, but clean. Staff spoke limited english, but enough to... more

Spacious, comfortable rooms, the temperature control worked perfectly, the tv had English language channels, the restaurants were open and the food was good enough (I'd stay away from the buffet). The only difficulty was when the hotel tried to charge a deposit which was a third higher than the room bill. I refused, paid a deposit to the amount of... more

We stayed there for three days in the beginning of Jan 2009; firstly, the location of the hotel is just in the entrance of Zhongyang street(main shopping and walking street in Harbin). it's walking distance to Zhaolin Park, Church of St. Sophia and Stalin Park. it's perfect location. The hotel staff can speak basic English; so, it's so easy to... more

Good location. Clean enough. But very, very worn out. Desperately needing a refurbishment. One major problem. The room temperature. They only provide very hot heater. You can choose to turn it off, but the room is very stuffy. We need to open the window for fresh air. Even then, the room is still warm. My husband slept without any clothes... more

Our family of 6 stayed in 2 rooms for two nights while visiting the Ice Festival. We are accustom to Chinese hotels and the Hotel itself was acceptable, but just. Just clean enough not to be dirty, just new enough not to be old and the breakfast was just O.K. The staff however was just not enough! Check in was... more

I guess I had low expectations for a city like Harbin so this hotel was ok. The room was ok but the thermostat was not very responsive. I had to open the window during the day to cool down the room a little. The breakfast buffet was not very good but the free internet was nice. The hotel is a... more

I've been there for 2 days in May 2008. Close to the main shopping area. The hotel is surrounded by dingy stinking shops. Shady rooms screaming for renovation. Pros: - Close to the city centre - Good food (but stay away from ice cream refrigerator - disgusting stale ice cream) - English speaking staff Cons: - stinking hotel surrounding -... more

I stayed at this hotel in May 2008. Altogether its a pretty reasonable place. The location is excellent in downtown Harbin, right opposite the main shopping street and a few blocks from St Sofia church and the Jewish temple is down the street. The hotel is only 2 stops from the station on Jingwei Jie, the bus stop is directly... more

My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights and we though it was a decent option in Harbin. It is close to many eateries and is very close to the main shopping street. Easy to get taxis to and from the main sites. The staff were excellent. Not only did they sort out a fight with a taxi driver... more

This hotel is NOT a short walk to the Ice Festival, as noted in this hotel's description. I have lived in Harbin for four years. I was looking for a hotel to book some friends in. I noticed that the main page of this hotel indicates it is a 5 minute walk from the Ice Festival in Zhaolin Park. That... more
