I had booked through a conference which was supposed to have a rate of 94 $US including breakfast. When I arrived at the hotel, they claimed to have lost my reservation, and charged me an outrageous 1596 yen, or 293 $US! Nevermind my lengthy explanations or request that they contact the conference organizers - they insisted on this room rate,... more
