Having a very high expectation for the Kempinski brand name, I must say its pretty disappointing. The hotel is old and the service wasn't all that great. The lobby is dim and unimpressive. The staff's English is so-so. The only plus point is that they gave me an upgrade. Thanks for that but I won't recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel! Pluses: beautiful room, jogging route info in room, Paulaner brewpub downstairs, subway station at the doorstep. So-so: breakfast buffet (perfectly adequate but nothing special), congested hotel front where it is not easy to get a taxi.

Hotel was very nice, great location & friendly staff. They worked very hard to please. Hot water & full pressure. Great internet, good gym facility.

I have never given an evaluation so low although I learned some lessons from this hotel. During our stay (early December 2011) we encountered some extremely loud neighbors. I really enjoyed my experience there, very good infrastructure and all-around breakfast. Good option for senior executives not travelling with constrained budget (around 1000RMB/night). Pros: breakfast, cleanliness, infrastructure. Cons: some real estate projects nearby are somehow annoying.
