Checked into the Chengdu Intercontinental on a business trip. The hotel is in the new southern part of Chengdu where a new city area is being constructed. The project is still on going and it is necessary to head back into the city center to find entertainment and places to eat, outside of the hotel. The hotel is beautiful, service... more

I stayed at the InterContinental at Century City Chengdu for ten nights on business from 9th June to 18th June. I believe the hotel only opened towards the end of 2007 and therefore the current rates are low to attract custom during its first year. The hotel had just opened when I checked-in. Neverthless, service was perfect, I didn't experienced the tipical disruptions of a newly opened hotel. Rooms are very large, with open view and feature great TV screen, with DVD player. The hotel is right next to Chengdu exhibition centre, and very close to the airport (20 min drive).
