Decameron San Luis is located about 4 metres from the white-sand beaches of the east slope of the island. Among the various Decameron hotels, it has the best beach for sure. It is a little rocky in parts in the sea (as generally in the island), so you will need swimming shoes, but these can be purchased from a vendor... more

We had a wonderful stay at the San Luis. It is a bit farther out from the other hotels but a shuttle runs regularily to all of the decameron properties on the island where you can eat, drink and use the facilities. It is by far not a glamours hotel but for the price we paid it was great! The... more

I took an 'all inclusive' 4 nights 5 day trip to the St Luis Decameron. The hotel is pleasant enough but it is clearly some time since any real money has been invested in it and this is beginning to show. 1.My family and I arrived at 2AM on Monday 08/10/09. We were shown to our rooms which turned out... more

San Andres is a culturally rich, unque and charming little island! It feels as if Colombia and Jamaica merged here. I have vacationed many times to Colombia but it was my first time in San Andres and I was pleasantly surprised by both the similarities and differences from the main land. The island has certainly not been compromised by commericialism.... more

My husband and I have been to San Andres Island now twice and have stayed at the San Luis both times. It is what it is - a 3 star - but the food is excellent - the staff are great - the people are friendly and not overbearing! There were some issues with the air conditioning both years -... more

Visited the San Luis for the week of November 6 with a friend. We booked through Nolitours and paid a ridiculously cheap price of $593 taxes and everything included. We beared this price in mind when evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the resort and island as a whole. The flight: Delayed by one hour, crappy food (either pizza or... more

First of all San Andres Island is beautiful and undiscovered. I would recommend going to visit. There is tropical rain almost everyday normally in the morning but then for hours the sun is very intense and beautiful (definitely wear sunscreen and reapply). The Decameron San Luis has pros and cons based on what you are looking for I will let... more

Although I have only given the Decameron San Luis an "Average", that is probably a little harsh. I will give you the "facts" as I saw them and you can reach your own conclusion as to whether you would go there or not... The island itself is small, beautiful and very friendly. 1. Very friendly hotel staff...but I have not... more

Travelled from Vancouver to Toronto to get on a direct Airtransat flight to this beautiful place. The weather is hot and I am thankful for the breeze since I would say it's too hot without it. Lots to do around the island since the Decameron offer their services at their 6 locations, 5 hotels and club beach, where, by making... more

If you are not expecting grand this could be a pleasant surprise, especially for the price. All of the Decameron Hotels on the island are totally different so it really adds to the appeal of the trip. Each had something unique which made it worth a visit. The hotels are old and not grand but clean and the food was... more
