stayed here before-had 4 nights free this time-room service was good--stayed in the bourbon tower-my only complaint was the noise-had to call the front desk because the guy next to us had his tv blaring the whole day and night-if you want a good night sleep then i dont reccomend this place-you can hear conversations and people flushing their toilets!... more

Five long time friends, gaming "enthusiasts", and who's time zones' are based on buffet schedules, met up from various parts of the country at the Showboat. My wife and I finally went to A.C and got away after 6 years... First night at showboat was great. Had an ocean view, buffet was ok, but the service was wonderful. LOVE IT.. It kinda is at the far end of the boardwalk but that kinda keeps the crazies down. The new HOB has perked the joint up. I will say that the buffet needs to be revamped . Checked in on Labor Day evening.....could not believe how dead the casino was. The only people in the casino were handicapped or it seems that way. The rooms are nicely appointed. Oddly enough the Taj rooms are very nice and I am able to get WiFi thru Boingo account making it the place I prefer as it is not the money, about $12.00/day Showboat charges for WiFi access but the thought.
