This past Memorial Day weekend I set my sights with my wife on going away locally(to save money honestly) and found the Blue Bay Inn online. My experience was delightful. I was reading in the paper about the new Bay shore trail in Atlantic Highlands. I wanted to first write about the Blue Bay Inn and the delightful hotel it... more

We stayed at the Blue Bay Inn due to evacuating our home. We tested hotels & motels around the area. Only the Blue Bay Inn seemed more like home, in terms of friendliness, hospitality, cleanliness, elegance, pleasantness... We arrived Oct 30'08, we're still present Jan 4'09, and we are glad to have made that choice. The Blue Bay Inn was... more

If you want to stay in an extremely small Deluxe Room for $234/night , including tax, with a 2 day minimum stay (on weekends), post season, with no on-site parking than this is the place for you. From the time you pull in and find out that you have to park a block & a half away (in a municipal... more

I liked this hotel. I had a nice room and was impressed by the service. Very nice. My room had a balcony which you could access from the room. The bathroom was a bit small but had nice amenities. I probably would have stayed a little further down the coast but this was my first trip to the area. Next... more

I travel quite a bit and usually go to Trip Advisor for advice from other travlers. When reviewing the Blue Bay Inn I noticed the biggest complaint was parking and quite honetly I needed to find a hotel close to Sandy Hook. I ventured to Atlantic Highlands as a sceptic but I also know that not everyone is always acurate... more

The property has a terrific location in the area...walking distance to lots to do. Beatiful boutique property...up scale, chic decor, accomodating staff. The property is quiet, has great amenities....very nice for a romantic stay. more

As a resident, I can confirm that New Jersey is not a mecca for quality, interesting hotels. Options near the shore are even more limited. So in that context, the Blue Bay Inn really stands out. Pros - Nicely decorated rooms; personal service; good value; proximity to great restaurants (including the attached Copper Canyon). Cons - Small rooms; non-adjacent parking;... more

This has to be one of the worst hotel experiences I have EVER had. Yes, the parking is two blocks over, which is understandable in NYC, but not in a small town. The rooms were nicely decorated, but our room was at the front of the hotel facing the street. We got very little sleep both nights there due to... more

This past weekend I stayed with my sister at the Blue Bay Inn. Staff was very responsive, recommended great local restaurants (secured reservations and directions), and provided complimentary continental breakfast. Clean, modern inn with new bathrooms - and not a generic chain. more

I stayed in the suite for 2 nights for a special occasion, and given the review before mine, I'd say it was worth it to get the bigger room. I did see some of the others, and they were a bit tight (I think it was a queen room I saw) for the room it was in. It is a... more
